After creating your profile, you will be redirected to the Home Page. This is where you will discover items to trade for. If something catches your eye, make sure to send a like to the user who posted it; sending a like shows users who is interested in their stuff.
Navigate to the top right of the home page and select the options button to change your feed settings, filter your feed and edit your account settings to enjoy a more personalized BARTER experience.
Select a custom area on the map to tailor your trade feed. Your trade feed will only show posts from users in your selected map frame.
Go to the navigation bar at the bottom of the page and select the filter tab. This is where you can opt to further filter your trade feed. Selecting tags that you are interested in, filters the feed to only show posts with your selected search tags.
Your account settings and preferences is also accessible through the navigation bar at the bottom of the page.
This is where you can also get support & report any issues regarding BARTER's services.
The notification center is where you will receive and manage post interactions from other users. You will also use the notification center to message other users and perform trades.
Select the notification tab from the navigation bar found at the bottom of the home page.
In the notification center, you can manage two types of notifications.
Under the likes tab, you can view likes and questions that other users have left on your posts. Go to a user's profile by clicking the notification and return a like on one of their posts in order initiate a trade.
Navigate to the tab at the top and select the mailbox to manage trades and messages. The flag on the mailbox will be up if you have any unread messages or trade notifications
When you and another user have both liked one of each other's posts, the two of you can now message each other and initiate a trade.
Navigate to the trade manager by clicking on 'manage trades' in the navigation bar.
The trade manager helps you can edit a trade, confirm/complete trades, write reviews on a user, and report the user that you are trading with.
